WHY BLOG?

Why do a blog and not a website for the Liberian Literacy Program?

  The Liberian Literacy Program is a part of Global Orphan Outreach which already has a website @ www.globalorphanoutreach.com.  You will find the school scholarship program has been existing there.
I thought the blog could be beneficial for these reasons:

1.  Relationship.

    The Liberian Literacy Program strives first and foremost to build relationship with the Liberian people.    We are not striving to build a huge program, put children into schools, and say we are helping.  We want to know our families and children.  We want to walk alongside Liberia's kids (W.A.L.K.) to help change their future.  Our team at LLP believes that by and through relationship is where real change will occur.  We hope that through this blog your relationship to our families will grow as well.


2.  Awareness.


    We hope to bring awareness not only to our local communities through blogging but also to others that we can share this information with.  The need is great and we should be advocating for the children whose future is very uncertain.


3.  Accountability.


     Trust, honesty, and integrity of the program is what we strive for.  We want to show you what we are doing, how we are doing it, and why we are doing it.  We understand that when people give of their time, money, and resources that they want to know that it is being well-managed and used appropriately.
